Another Visit to Wildflower Cafe’

Adorned with edible flowers

The only thing sweeter than gazing at this beautiful luncheon salad as it was set before me, was carefully stabbing it with my fork, one carefully selected bite at a time!  So many different tastes and colors, it would have been a dishonor to simply fork it up in big bites as we might eat a tossed ho-hum salad while trying to hurry through our lunch hour.  Because beneath a small canopy of fresh micro greens, I found strawberries, blueberries, rasberries, watermelon, tiny salty nuts and fresh spring greens.  This was lightly tossed with a balsamic vinaigrette and served with whole grain bread and a side of apple butter!  I chose shrimp for a protein compliment and left my nasturtium garnish so not to forget  easily the adornment of my luncheon plate!  L and I made it through this one with no libations as it was a working lunch!

It has been over a month now since we lunched here at Wildflower Cafe’ and this was the Wildflower Salad with Shrimp.  I’m thinking this Friday and maybe not a working lunch at all, but a celebration of the end of another productive week.  Good reason to enjoy a glass of wine this time as their wine list makes my mouth water.  What say you, Lauren?
